A multiple view collection system for designers: How can meaning emerge from interaction?
Name Philip Mendels

During the design process designers collect a lot of digital content. This content is often organized as a single hierarchical structure with little emphasis on visual information. This does not do justice to the many relations that exist between the collected content and to the different design activities and perspectives that require different organizations.
We are designing and testing a system that enables designers to create multiple views of their digital collection. A view is a spatial organization and selection of the collection content and includes a selection of the defined relations. We explore how meaningful structures emerge from interaction through multiple views.
