Note: Please have a look at the FAQ, code examples and datasheets before contacting experts!!! Coaches and students from domain work can apply for support by email. Only use  drivers from this website when asking support, not the drivers from the phidget.com site.

Introduction
Phidgets are an easy to use set of building blocks for low cost sensing and control from your PC.

Because of the building block approach, Phidgets are ideal for rapid prototyping all kind of interaction styles. Without soldering or continuously reprogramming your system, you can easily exchange input and output elements to explore alternative interaction styles. This means that you can start experimenting with real intelligence directly after - or in parallel with - the initial foam modeling phase of your project. Phidgets can be programmed in so many programming languages that you will always be able to find a language that fits your need: Macromedia Flash, JAVA, C/C++, C#, VBA (Excel, HTML), etc. On the support page you will even find some programs that don't require programming at all.

The insights obtained during the phidget exploration phase can be re-implemented in low-level electronics to enable more advanced and precise interaction styles during later phases of the project. Instead of completely re-implementing the whole system in custom components, you can also connect the phidget building blocks to a microcontroller. Most phidgets are equipped with appropriate signal conditioning and deliver either a 0 to 5V output signal, or can be interfaced with a SPI bus. Ofcourse, you can also create your own phidget extensions.

Showcases
Students created some very nice demonstrators with phidgets.
These will be included here....
