Competency-centered

The industrial design program is unique in the sense that it is the only technical university based program adhering strictly to competencies. Students do not learn or reproduce knowledge only. They acquire competencies: abilities to integrate knowledge, skills and the appropriate attitude. This model, which requires sound reflection on learning activities from both coaches and students, is the most favorable way towards the realization of a successful Industrial Design engineer of the future. Students are considered junior employees, who are responsible, pro active, well motivated and eager to learn and apply. The competency based approach leads to remarkable results, even in the Bachelor course and successes in companies early in the student’s career. Some students become so competent in so few years that they decide to start their own company after receiving only their bachelor diploma.
